The Future Properties sales team recently attended the launch of what promises to be the most significant new residential building in Latin-America, Los Faros de Panama.
The key component of a three day visit attended by media, dignitaries and stakeholders from all over the world was the ground breaking ceremony, held in a packed marquee on the site of the project. Participants demonstrating their support by participating in the ceremony included the Mayor of Panama, the Panamanian Ministers for Public Works and Housing and the Spanish, Columbian and Mexican ambassadors to Panama. Speaking in great detail about how Los Faros will benefit the city and the country through the provision of thousands of jobs and attraction of wealth into the area, the Minister of Foreign Relations for Panama marked the day as a historic event for Panama, commenting “this building is an icon for the development of this country”. He also praised the energy saving and environmental best practise initiatives which have been incorporated into the build.
Also offering his public support for Los Faros at a glittering launch party for the project was the President of Panama Mr Martín Torrijos, who linked the scheme with the state government’s plans to reinforce Panama City’s increasingly importance as the financial hub of Latin-America with a $1.2billion investment in 2006/2007.
